An unidentified woman has suddenly run amok along the popular Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, Lagos State.
Eyewitnesses said that the woman, who had alighted from a commercial mini-bus at the Second Rainbow bus stop along the expressway, started to tear her clothes of her
body.
After tearing off her underwear, she was said to have now sat naked on the road sidewalk as commercial motorcycle riders, popularly called okada, plying the route now gathered to “feed their eyes.”
A foodstuff trader in the area, who simply identified herself as Mama Ngozi, explained that the woman must have been a victim of some diabolical attack.
The woman came down from a bus and began to hold her head. She dropped her handbag on the dround and then started to tear all her clothes off her body. She tore even her pants (underwear). Nobody knew the woman, nor where she came from. other women around could not help to cover her nakedness with wrappers because she was wild and would have torn them too
“Somebody must have cast a spell or used some black magic against her. She might have cheated on somebody, who has no heart to forgive and the person decided to deal with her. It’s not good to cheat somebody, especially when it comes to business. The other person can decide to use ‘juju’ against you when you cheat him. It’s true. All these ‘okada’ riders could not take their eyes away from the naked woman. They were there looking at her as if they have not seen the body of a naked woman all their lives,” Mama Ngozi said.
One of the commercial motorcycle riders, Mohammed Salisu, said, “The woman came down from a bus and began to hold her head. She dropped her handbag on the floor and then started to tear all her clothes off her body. She tore even her pant (underwear). Nobody knew the woman or where she came from. The women around could not come near her to use wrappers to cover her nakedness because she was wild and would have torn it. She tore everything she wore off her body. Later, she started to walk towards the Oshodi area.”
A police sergeant (names withheld) attached to the Amuwo – Odofin Police Post said, “I just looked at the woman whether I would be able to identify her. I don’t know her. So, I had to leave the scene before people would think I was there to look at a mad woman’s nakedness. May be she had cheated
somebody.
“Her kind of madness is surprising. She just started to tear off her body all she wore, just like that. The people in her village, where she comes from, could do that if she is progressing. Unless one is protected by God, there is nothing people cannot do to bring you down.”
