The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association, Abia State branch, has threatened to sanction any of its members involved in the sale of adulterated products.

The branch Chairman, Prince Bobby Dick, gave this warning in an interview with our correspondent at the end of a seminar/workshop organised by the association for its members in Aba.

Dick also advised consumers to purchase petroleum products from established filling stations “and if possible, obtain receipts from them to avoid the consequences of such products.”

“While looking for cheap products, consumers buy them from either black marketers or roadside filling stations; if there is any issue, the operator will close down and run away.”

He, however, described the recent hosting of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, to a new yam festival by his father, Eze (Dr.) Eberechi Dike, at his palace, as a fulfillment and a great honour.
