The police in Osun have arraigned three men before a Magistrate’s Court sitting in Osogbo for allegedly stealing one Toyota Hiace Hummer bus belonging to the state Ministry of Justice.
Sixty-seven-year-old Yekin Salawudeen; Hammed Salawudeen, 27 and Sarafa Adeyemo, 26, were accused of conspiring and committing the offence.
According to the prosecutor, Sergeant Duro Adekunle, the accused persons committed the offence on July 23, 2017, at about 6:00am at 57, Church Street, Oke-Onitea, Osogbo.
Adekunle told the court that the trio stole one Toyota Hiace Hummer bus with registration number 05A-04-0S and engine number, JTGSX23P4B6109833, saying that the alleged stolen vehicle valued at N7million was property of the Ministry of Justice, Osun State.

But the accused persons, who were not legally represented, pleaded not guilty to the allegations bearing on conspiracy and stealing.
Magistrate Fatimah Sodamade, however, granted bail to the accused persons in the sum of N1million with two sureties in like sum.
Sodamade adjourned the case till September 25 for hearing.
The accused persons had yet to meet the apparently stringent bail conditions as at the time of filing this report.
