The mother of the Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, is dead.
The deceased, Alhaja Saratu Aregbesola, died on Tuesday morning.
Popularly called “Iya Olobi”, Alhaja Saratu lived in Ilesa until her demise.
Although, the state government had yet to issue a formal statement on the development, close aides of the governor confirmed to our correspondent that Aregbesola received his mother’s death with sadness.
She will be laid to rest according to Islamic rites later on in Ilesa, Osun State, on Tuesday.
