A family of five on Sunday was confirmed to have been slain by Badoo, the deadly cultists’ gang, in Ikorodu, Lagos.
The incident, which has spiked the general atmosphere of fear and trepidation in the Ikorodu community, occurred at the Ibeshe locality in the early hours of Sunday.
According to a source, a man called Adejare, his wife and three children were found dead in their apartment on Sunday afternoon, when church members visited their home following their absence in the day’s church service.
It was gathered that the cultists entered through the kitchen’s window, which had no burglary proof.
The source, who craved anonymity, said, “It was really a pathetic case. All of them were met dead except the four years old girl whose life is currently between life and death because she was raped mercilessly.
“We have taken her to the General Hospital but they said she needed to be moved to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, tomorrow morning, for surgery.”
Another resident of Ibeshe community, who simply described self as Olarewaju, said, “The victims were discovered this afternoon when their church members came to check on them because they were not seen in the church. When the door of the house was opened, the lifeless bodies were found in a pool of blood. It was really a sad scene this afternoon”.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole, said the incident was not Badoo related. His response when contacted via a phone text message read, “Not Badoo related.”
