Immediate past deputy speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Elisha Agwadu Jatau, has described the notice recently given by Arewa youths to Igbo residing in the north to vacate the region as a mere political intimidation.

The former deputy speaker stated this in an exclusive chat with our correspondent at Kun-Warki Clinic and Maternity, Kansokowa – Lafia, adding that it was unfortunate that the labours of the nation’s founding fathers were being laid to waste.

Jatau, who is currently the Managing Director of KunWarki Clinic and Maternity, Lafia, said, “I cannot see why some group of persons, because they want to vie for positions and think that is the only way they can, by intimidating other Nigerians.”

According to him, “Nigeria has fought these menace from 1967 to 1970, when the civil war came to an end. All people had put their hands on deck to make sure that this country remained united. How can some few people now say they want a section of the country to go back to their states?”
