Following the acquittal of Senate President Bukola Saraki by the Code of Conduct Tribunal, President, Women Arise for Change Initiative, Dr. Joe Okei- Odumakin, has urged the anti- graft agencies to always do their investigations properly before bringing corruption charges against politicians in court.

Similarly, the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights said that such corruption cases involving politicians should not be handled with levity.

Okei- Odumakin in an exclusive chat with our correspondent argued that Saraki’s acquittal by the CCT was as a shocker and an indication that the judicial process in the country had been exhausted.

She, therefore, cautioned the anti-graft agencies to avoid trying corruption cases involving politicians in the media.

Okei-Odumakin said that they should rather do their findings diligently before taking the personality involved to court for prosecution.
