The Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle Riders Association of Nigeria in Ogun State has said that it will not condone the killing of innocent commercial motorcycle riders, popularly known as okada, by unknown gunmen in the state.

The Chairman of ACCOMORAN in the state, Alhaji Adebayo Apelogun, gave this warning in an exclusive chat with our correspondent during the first year anniversary celebration of Alhaji Ibrahim Olaniyan as the chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee at the Police Officers’ Mess in Abeokuta.

Apelogun, who frowned on the killing of innocent okada riders in the state by unknown persons, stressed that ACCOMORAN would not relent in its effort to partner and work with the police in the state in order to combat crime and criminality.

He said, “We have a mutual relationship with the police and we accord the police all the necessary support when they arrest or apprehend anybody with stolen motorcycle. We will support them to provide the logistics for them to go to anywhere. So, in view of this, we have a cordial relationship with them.”
