Against a team that had won 11 league games, Arne Slot’s team occasionally had luck, but Salah once again made the difference by increasing his league total to 21 this season.
With a penalty kick after 30 minutes and a beautiful second goal in the 75th minute, Salah has now scored more than 20 goals in a Premier League season five times.
Seventh-place Bournemouth twice struck the woodwork, first via Marcus Tavernier just before Salah sealed the victory and then through Antoine Semenyo when it was 0-0.
With 23 games played, Liverpool has 56 points.
