The Police in Osun State have arrested a father of two children, simply identified as Timileyin for allegedly defiling and raping a teenage girl.
Timileyin, a married man with two children, was arrested last Tuesday by the operatives of Ayeso Police Division in Ilesa after the parents of the victim reported the matter.
The victim, name withheld, was reportedly hospitalised after she started bleeding profusely owing to the injury she allegedly sustained during the sexual assault.
The Point gathered that the 19-year-old girl is a secondary school leader who has been undergoing apprenticeship.
It was gathered that Timileyin, also known as Timmy, visited the girl where she stays with her parents at Obeta Street in Ilesa at night and forced her to bed.
The suspect is said to be living in the same area with the girl.
Narrating how she discovered her daughter in the pool of her blood inside her room, the victim’s mother, Mrs. Abiona, said her daughter was wriggling in pain the moment she saw her.
Abiona mentioned that she had rushed her daughter to the hospital before looking for Timileyin and got him arrested.
She said the teenager came to live with her about a month ago, adding that Timileyin left his wife and two children at his house and came to her house to sexually assault her daughter.
“Her elder sister cried to me, saying that her sister has been bleeding. I was surprised that she was bleeding because she had seen her period earlier in the month. I was disturbed and immediately, she (victim) also called me on phone that the bleeding was severe. I shut my shop and started running home.
“She said Timmy defiled and raped her, that he came inside my house and raped her. This is a man that is married with two children. We live on the same street. My daughter just finished secondary school and has been learning a skill,” she explained.
Impeccable security sources informed The Point that the suspect has been arrested and that the Divisional Police Officer of Ayeso Police Division has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department of the Osun State Police Command for further legal actions.
