The people of Oferekpe Agbaja autonomous community in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State have poured encomium on the state governor, Francis Nwifuru for massive installation of social amenities in the area.
The people expressed their heartfelt gratitude on Wednesday at Oferekpe Agbaja community primary school during annual celebration of Oferekpe Agbaja Day where Nwibo Elias, the Town Union President assured the governor of their unalloyed support.
Elias enjoined the citizens to give the All Progressives Congress led government in the state unalloyed support for the prosperity of the state.
Addresing the governor and his fellow indigenes, he said, “Since your emergence as the honourable member representing Izzi North West constituency in state House of Assembly years back, a lot of unprecedented positive changes have occurred both in our village and in our constituency. The village primary school changed with storey building classroom blocks, teachers quarters, ICT center equipped with modern computers and solar energy as well as many other class room blocks.
“Roads have been constructed with street lights mounted. Boreholes scattered at all nooks and crannies of the community. Youth empowerment was not left out as many souls were saved through your benevolent empowerment and scholarship award.
“Today as the governor of this state, you have put smiles on faces of millions of Ebonyians both at home and in diaspora. You have empowered many given jobs and business opportunities to many. Widows, indigent citizens, retired and serving civil servants are not left out as they now wear new faces. The Modern ICT University will soon take off.
“Welfare packages now order of the day. We are marveled by empowerment sir!
“I want to use this medium to call on all and sundry to give the APC led government of Ebonyi State all the needed support to enhance and earn many more dividends of democracy.”
