Kano Governor approves new appointments, redeploys heads of agencies, special advisers

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved new appointments and redeployment of some heads of agencies and special advisers.

This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Dawakin Tofa, on Sunday.

The newly appointed individuals include renowned public health expert and hematologist, Dr. Ibrahim Musa of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital and a popular Kannywood actor, Sani Musa Danja.

The newly appointed officials along with their assigned portfolios are: Dr. Ibrahim Musa – Special Adviser, Health Services, and Personal Physician to the Governor; Dr. Hadiza Lawan Ahmad – Special Adviser, Investment and Public-Private Partnership; Sani Musa Danja – Special Adviser, Youth and Sports; Aminu Hussain – Special Adviser, Justice/Constitutional Matters; Dr. Ismail Lawan Suleiman – Special Adviser, Population and Nasiru Isa Jarma – Special Adviser, NGOs.

Others are Wada Ibrahim Daho – Permanent Commissioner I, SUBEB; Ado Danjummai Wudil – Executive Secretary, Guidance and Counselling Board; Dr. Binta Abubakar – Executive Secretary, Agency for Mass Education; Abubakar Ahmad Bichi – Director General, Cottage and Street Hawking Agency; Abdullahi Yaryasa – Member, Assembly Service Commission and Dr. Yusuf Ya’u Gambo – Executive Chairman, Strategic Governance and Policy Coordination.

The governor has also reassigned the following political office holders: Kabiru Getso Haruna – Executive Secretary, State Scholarship Board; Rabi’u Saleh Gwarzo – Executive Secretary, Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board; Dr. Kabiru Ado Zakirai – Executive Secretary, Kano State Library Board; Dr. Abubakar Musa Yakubu – Medical Director, Government House Clinic; Yusuf Jibrin Oyoyo – Special Adviser, Students’ Matters; Isa Musa Kumurya – Special Adviser, Marshalls; Hajia Fatima Abubakar Amneef – Special Adviser, Enlightenment and Social Mobilization and Comrade Nura Iro Ma’aji – Special Adviser, Employment.
According to the statement, these appointments and reassignments take immediate effect.
