Publishers Forum, has urged Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to take a decisive action against the violent activities of Fulani herdsmen in the state.

The DOPF called on Governor Okowa to protect farmers and residents of the state from the marauding herdsmen.

Members of the Forum, who met in Kwale, stated that Governor Okowa should toe the line of his Ekiti State counter, Mr. Ayo Fayose, to get rid of the violent Fulani herdsmen.

The group expressed concern that the state government had not shown seriousness in tackling the problems posed by the herdsmen now terrorising the state.

The Forum said that the unchallenged violent activities of the herdsmen were already affecting the social and economic lives of the people and the state.

Chairman of the group, Mr. Emma Enebeli, expressed concern over the alarming rate of insecurity in Ethiope East, Ndokwa East and Ughelli North local governmet areas of the state as a result of Fulani herdsmen violent activities.
