They called on the state governor, Ademola Adeleke to come to their aid and repair the roads for the economic prosperity of their communities and to prevent further road mishaps.

Speaking for the communities through an open letter addressed to Governor Adeleke, a prominent prince in the town, Ali Afolabi said it is becoming extremely difficult to drive through the roads.

He said, “Due to the long lasting need to repair, the condition of Iree/Ada road, Oke Eesa/Oke Ogi road, Small London 1&2/Iba road, Estate road has gone from bad to worse. As a result, it is becoming extremely difficult to drive on the road and many a time, various small accidents have also taken place and have injured the people.

“Of late, the bad condition of the road has worsened due to water clogging and if we do not repair the road on an urgent basis, things are going to get all the more difficult.

“Therefore, we are writing this letter to His Excellency, Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke, Governor of Osun State to bring to your attention sir, the need of road repair in the Iree area. I hope you will understand the situation and have a new road constructed as soon as possible after examining the site.”
