Sterling Holdings GMD/CEO, Odubiyi, two other directors acquire over 20m shares of group

The Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Sterling Financial Holdings Company Plc, Adeyemi Odubiyi, and two other directors of the group have boosted their shareholding with over 20 million shares acquired on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange Limited this week.

Odubiyi, on August 6, 2024 bought 10 million shares of the Holdco at N3.75 per share, accounting for N37.5million fresh investment.

The latest shareholding portfolio of Holdco made available on its website showed that the Group Managing Director had 219,180,188 total shares (direct and indirect) as of December 31, 2022.

A breakdown of the shareholding showed a direct holding of 192,708,480 shares and 26,471,708 in indirect holding.

The Executive Director, Sterling Bank Ltd (Subsidiary of Sterling Financial Holdings Company Plc), Tunde Adeola, acquired a fresh 1,307,902 units at N4.01 per share, amounting to N5, 244,687.02

As of December 31, 2022, Adeola’s total holdings in the company stood at 142,731,268 units, (115,487,243 shares (direct) and indirect, 27,244,025 shares.)

The Non-Executive Director, Sterling Financial Holdings Company Plc, Suleiman Abubakar Abdullahi, spent N37.5 million on 10 million shares at N3.75 per share.

As of December 31, 2022, Suleiman held a total of 298,128,834 shares as of December 31, 2022.

In all, the three directors acquired 21,307,902 million shares in two at an aggregate value of N80, 644,287.
