An eye witness to the incident, Juliet Olawale, told The Point that the alleged old woman confessed to have come from Ondo State alongside 24 other colleagues.
“It was the most shocking thing I have ever seen in my life. I was at the scene, and I saw it live with my eyes. The woman confessed that she came to Lagos with other colleagues, who are 24, to kill people while she was assigned to this area,” Olawale said.
Speaking on how the incident occurred, Ms. Olawale said, “We all rushed out when we heard a sudden noise around our house, and on getting there, I saw the woman. She had been beaten seriously by the area boys after she confessed. I also saw the woman who beat the cat out of her apartment, before it turned to the woman.
Another resident of the area, Tunde Olayinka, said, “When the woman that saw the cat in her room explained to us, she said it was her daughter that saw the cat and called her, and she decided to chase it out with a stick. It was in the process that some of the area boys came to assist her. And while beating the cat, one of the area boys threw the roll of Indian hemp in his hand on it and it turned into the old woman.”
The area witnessed a huge crowd, which came to see the strange and bizarre occurrence.
