Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has awarded N300,000 grant to all indigenes of the state in Nigerian Law Schools across the country.
The governor gave approval for the scholarship grant for all indigenes admitted into all campuses of Nigerian Law Schools for 2023/2024 academic session.
Disclosing the development in a Public Service announcement in Abakaliki, the State capital on Thursday, the state Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Amari Omaka, noted that the grant would be disbursed on ‘first come first served’ basis and directed the qualified prospective beneficiaries to proceed to his office at Centenary City Abakaliki with relevant documents for screening.
He said, “The general public are to notify their wards and all Law graduates of Ebonyi State origin admitted into any of the campuses of the Nigerian Law Schools for the 2023/2024 academic session, that by this notice, they are required to proceed immediately to the Ministry of Tertiary Education Centenary city Abakaliki to access the N300,000.00 partial scholarship grant approved for them by His Excellency, the Education Friendly Governor of Ebonyi State Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru GGCEHF.
“They are required to come with the following documents: Certificate of nativity authenticated by their LGA chairman or traditional ruler, LL.B certificate or statement of result, evidence of admission into Nigerian Law school, evidence of posting into any of the campuses of Nigerian Law Schools and bank account details.
“Payment shall be on first come first served basis.”
