The management of the University of Ilorin has dissociated the institution from an online television platform going by the name ‘UnilorinTV@TVPromax’, describing it as “phantom”.

In a statement made available to newsmen at the weekend by the institution’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Kunle Akogun, the management said, “The University does not operate a television station and we are amazed that this fake outlet carries the Unilorin logo on its masthead.”

The statement added that “the University of Ilorin does not have anything to do with the content of a trending story on the so-called TV station in which the Nigerian High Commission in London is being accused of shady deals in Passport renewal/replacement.”

“We, hereby, dissociate ourselves from this fake TV station, which, to all intents and purposes, is the creation of mischief makers or scammers or both,” the Unilorin management said.
