A former governor of Ogun State and the senator representing Ogun East, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has explained why he was absent at a reception organized in Abuja on Monday for ministers from Ogun State by Governor Dapo Abiodun.

Daniel, in response to enquiries by The Point, explained that he was engaged with many activities on that day.

“There were dozens of receptions on that day and I managed to attend about 7 of them including the ones in honour of Wale Edun, Dele Alake, Ishaq Salako, Bosun Tijani, Festus Keyamo, Dr Alausa, Dàvid Umahi. There were several others that I could not physically be present because the receptions were ongoing simultaneously. Thanks for your interest,” the former governor clarified.
