The traditional ruler of Yaba in Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Abdullahi Adamu is dead.

It was gathered that the monarch, aged 62, suddenly slumped and couldn’t be revived by his family members.

A member of the family of the deceased, Shuaibu Abdullahi, confirmed the monarch’s departure on Thursday night.

Abdullahi disclosed that the late Etsu of Yaba chiefdom died while on his way to observe Magrib prayers within his palace.

He said Adamu slumped suddenly and his aides rushed him to Abaji General Hospital, where he was confirmed dead.

The remains of the monarch had been taken from the hospital to Yaba for burial today.
