- Apprehend dismissed policeman for impersonation
The police in Delta State have arrested 12 students of Osadenis High School, Asaba, for alleged cultrelated activities in the state.
The 12 students, who are in their teenage years, were apprehended by the police during initiation into the membership of a new cult group known as “future trigger boys.”
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Zanna Ibrahim, said the teenagers, who were arrested on a tip-off, had been interrogated and had confessed to the crime.
Ibrahim said investigation of the students’ involvement in cult activities was ongoing, adding that the police would leave no stone unturned in bringing all secret cult members in the state to book.

The command has also arrested a fake policeman, Chiemeka Telvin.
The police commissioner said that 43-year-old Telvin was dismissed from the Police Force in 2006 and had since then been involved in illegal activities, especially serving as escort to high profile businessmen and women.
He said that the suspect’s victims had been rewarding him with huge sums of money before nemesis caught up with him.
The suspect, however, admitted that he had been engaging in illegal activities, while dressed in police uniform, to make a living for himself and family members.
Also, the police commissioner said that four kidnap suspects were arrested by the police detectives attached to the state Police Command acting on a tip-off.
The suspects include: Malarchy Chikwado, 28; John Obi, 22; Osita Obiakwe, 24; and Ezeah Chinedu, 36.
The victim, 26-year-old Okpoke Michael, was rescued by the police unhurt. The police boss said that the suspects would be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
Ibrahim added that some improvised explosive devices were discovered by officers and men of the State Criminal Investigation Department.
He said that the IEDs were planted by some disgruntled persons planning to bomb Agip Oil installation in the Kwale axis.
