Nigeria’s Victor Obinna Nsofor has described his football sojourn in the Russian side, Lokomotiv Moscow, as ‘hell’ after his contract was not renewed by the clubside.

The Nigeria international spent most of the 2013/2014 season in the stands or at the bench at Lokomotiv., an experience the Olympic silver medalist has taken in good faith. He is now working towards reigniting his career with his new club, MSV Duisburg in the German second tier, 2 Bundesliga.

“The life of every footballer is full of challenges and Lokomotiv Moscow was no exemption. Life was ‘hell’ especially when my contract ran out in July,” he admitted, but was quick to add that he is now enjoying a new lease of life in Germany.

“All that seemed to have changed for the best since arriving Duisburg. Already, I’m looking forward to the new task here, the club, the fans and my teammates. Hopefully, I’ll always do my best at all time,” the former Enyimba and Kwara United forward added.

Nsofor, who has 48 caps for Nigeria and has played in Italy, Spain and England, penned a deal until the end of the current campaign with the German Bundesliga 2 side with an option of another year.
