In the 4-0 victory over Southampton at the weekend, Erling Haaland broke the record for the quickest player to score 15 Premier League goals.

After finishing off Joao Cancelo’s cross at Etihad Stadium, Haaland has now scored 20 goals in 13 outings for City across all competitions.

In fact, his league goalscoring rate has dropped from 1.75 to 1.67 as a result of “only” scoring once in his ninth appearance.

With seven straight Premier League appearances, he became just the second City player in 2019 (after Sergio Aguero) to score a goal.

Amazingly, the £51 million summer acquisition from Borussia Dortmund has already matched the total of Kevin de Bruyne, who led them in league scoring during the 2021–22 season when they won the title.

In his first nine Premier League games prior to this season, Micky Quinn has the most goals with 11.

Andy Cole required only 15 games to score 15 Premier League goals, becoming him the fastest player to accomplish it.
