Former legislators in the state and national assemblies under the platform of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State have unanimously endorsed the candidature of Bola Oyebamiji as APC governorship candidate for the forthcoming 2026 gubernatorial election in the state.
Oyebamiji is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, National Inland Waterways Authority.
The former lawmakers, numbering over 50 members across the 26 State Constituencies, 9 Federal Constituencies and 3 Senatorial Districts in the state threw their weights behind the Ikire-born technocrat and politician.
The former legislators disclosed their support for Oyebamiji at different interactive sections held with him at Ilerioluwa Campaign Office, Osogbo.
Speaking intermittently, the former members of the parliament affirmed their unflinching support for the gubernatorial aspirant.
They described Oyebamiji as a round peg in a round hole in whom they are pleased to run for the coveted position come 2026.
The immediate past speaker, Timothy Owoeye stated the lawmakers’ readiness and determination to work vigorously for the actualisation of Oyebamiji’s ambition in the next governorship election.
According to him, the lawmakers are irrevocably committed to AMBO movement and ready to rally support for him before, during and after the gubernatorial election.
The meetings had in attendance former lawmakers from the 1st Assembly to 7th Assembly in the state as well as former National Assembly lawmakers.
