AS part of hitting the ground running in the new year, the central committee members of the South West Agenda for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Sunday, began a two-day visit to Osun State to seek support for his 2023 presidential ambition.
Led by its Chairman, Dayo Adeyeye, the team paid a courtesy call at the Ila Orangun country home of former Acting National Chairman of the APC and former Governor of Oyo State, Bisi Akande.
Bisi Akande clocked 82 at weekend and was said to have prayed for the delegation.
The former governor of Osun State imformed the delegation that, by the clear understanding in existence, it was the turn of a Yoruba man to be President of Nigeria.
The team later visited and had a meeting with Governor Gboyega Oyetola in Osogbo.
Oyetola commended their efforts and counselled them to maintain the momentum of their well organised mission.
In the SWAGA entourage were co-ordinators for all the South West states, including Lagos, Oyo, Osun, and Ekiti, among others.
The delegation’s working tour of the state of Osun continues on Monday with visits to the Ataoja of Osogbo, Ooni of Ife and other eminent traditional rulers and leaders of thought in the state.
